ZOLL® Pedi-Padz II for Pediatric Patients
ZOLL® Pedi-Padz II are specially designed for use with the ZOLL AED Plus® and AED Pro®, intended for pediatric patients who are 8 years or younger and weigh less than 55 pounds. These pediatric defibrillation electrode pads are compatible with ZOLL AEDs and ensure that the correct shock level is delivered for smaller patients. The ZOLL AED Plus and AED Pro feature Intelligent Pediatric Capability, which detects when Pedi-Padz II are connected and performs a pediatric ECG.
When Pedi-Padz II are connected, the AED provides voice and text prompts to alert the rescuer that the device is set to detect a child's heartbeat, not an adult's. The ZOLL AEDs utilize distinct algorithms and energy levels for children and adults, ensuring appropriate and effective treatment for each patient.
Pedi-Padz II feature a visual anatomical guide, making it easy for rescuers to know precisely where to place the pads on the patient. Pedi-Padz II have an expiration date of at least 18 months from the date of manufacture and should be replaced upon expiration to keep the AED functional.
