The ZOLL AED Plus is a professional-grade automated external defibrillator engineered for both lay rescuers and trained responders. Installation and Placement

The ZOLL AED Plus is designed for surface, cabinet, or bracket mounting in a high-visibility, high-traffic location. Placement decisions drive survival outcomes more than any AED feature: every minute of delay between collapse and defibrillation reduces survival probability by approximately 10 percent.

Position for 90-second access. Place the AED so any responder in the building can reach it, deploy it on the patient, and deliver the first shock within three minutes. This typically means one AED per 60 to 90 seconds of round-trip walking distance.
Mount the handle at ADA-compliant height. Under the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, the operable handle should sit no higher than 48 inches above the finished floor for unobstructed forward reach, or 54 inches for side reach. Use a ZOLL AED Plus mounting bracket or wall cabinet rated for the unit's 6.7-lb weight.

Pediatric Use Requires Separate Pads The standard CPR-D-padz are FDA-cleared for adult use only. For children under 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds, replace with Pedi-padz II. Using adult pads on a small child can deliver excessive shock energy.
