No. CPR-D-padz are adult electrodes, rated for patients over 8 years old or over 55 lbs (25 kg). ZOLL's own AED Plus documentation states directly that adult electrode pads and CPR-D-padz should not be used on patients under 8 years old, and that electrodes labeled "Infant/Child," meaning ZOLL Pedi-padz II, are required instead for younger or smaller patients.
The AED Plus reads which pad type is connected and automatically switches its defibrillation energy accordingly, issuing an Adult Pads or Pediatric Pads voice prompt depending on which electrode is attached. That automatic switching only helps if the correct pad is connected in the first place. Any program with children present, schools, churches with nurseries, daycare facilities, family venues, should stock Pedi-padz II alongside CPR-D-padz.
