The single most important question for any AED trainer buyer: do you need a training simulator, or do you need a real defibrillator for an actual rescue program? The two products look similar and share part of the model name, but they serve completely different purposes. Many AED programs buy both. The clinical AED 3 lives in the wall cabinet ready for an emergency, and the matching trainer lives in the training room so responders practice on the identical interface they will see when it counts. Pads and batteries are not interchangeable between the two devices.

Setup and Classroom Use

The ZOLL AED 3 Trainer is designed to drop into an existing CPR/AED training program with minimal instructor overhead. Initial setup takes approximately 5 minutes; routine class-to-class setup takes under 60 seconds.
