The ZOLL AED 3 is ZOLL Medical's flagship public-access automated external defibrillator and represents a generational step forward from the long-running ZOLL AED Plus. Installation and Placement

The ZOLL AED 3 is designed for surface, cabinet, or bracket mounting in a high-visibility, high-traffic location. Placement decisions drive survival outcomes more than any AED feature: every minute of delay between collapse and defibrillation reduces survival probability by approximately 10 percent.

Position for 90-second access. Place the AED so any responder in the building can reach it, deploy it on the patient, and deliver the first shock within three minutes. This typically means one AED per 60 to 90 seconds of round-trip walking distance.
Mount the handle at ADA-compliant height.
