Infant/Child Reduced Energy Defibrillation Electrode Pad Starter Kit

This Starter Kit includes:

One pair of electrode pads
A storage pouch with cloth handle
Appropriate safety instructions and labels

Product Details:

Compatibility: Designed for use with LIFEPAK® 500 AEDs equipped with a pink connector (standard on AEDs built after 8/9/02), as well as any LIFEPAK CR® Plus or LIFEPAK® 1000 defibrillator.
Intended Use: For children up to 8 years of age or weighing up to 25kg (55lb).
Energy Reduction: These pads reduce the energy dose delivered to the patient by a factor of four. For example, if the AED is set to deliver 200, 300, or 360 joules using adult pads, the dose will be approximately 50, 75, or 86 joules with these Infant/Child pads.
Smaller Size: The electrode pad is smaller than standard adult defibrillation pads, making it suitable for younger patients.

Usage and Benefits:

Heart-Safe Programs: Ideal for extending heart-safe programs to include young children, offering the opportunity to save many years of someone's life.
Upgradable Devices: Biphasic LIFEPAK® 500 AEDs that do not have pink connector plugs can be upgraded to accept these low-energy electrodes.
