The trainer body, button layout, large graphical screen, voice prompts, and step sequence are engineered to be identical to the production LIFEPAK 1000 so that students experience the same interface during training that they will encounter in a real rescue. The visible differences are training-device labeling on the exterior (a deliberate safety design) and dedicated training pads instead of clinical electrode pads. Inside the screen content, students see simulated ECG, the same rescue prompts, and the same Manual Mode options that the clinical device supports.
