This trainer package does not include a CPR manikin (purchase from our CPR Manikins selection). It does not include the clinical Samaritan PAD AED or clinical Pad-Pak; the trainer cannot deliver shocks and is not a substitute for a real defibrillator. The 450P trainer with CPR Rate Advisor capability is a separate product. Pediatric training accessories are typically sold separately if your curriculum covers pediatric defibrillation.

Six (6) pre-programmed AHA/ERC scenarios are loaded onto the trainer at the factory. The scenarios cover the major rhythms students will encounter on the clinical Samaritan PAD: shockable rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, pulseless ventricular tachycardia) and non-shockable rhythms. Mix scenario types across your class so students learn that the AED does NOT shock every patient. This is more pre-programmed scenarios than most competing AED trainers, which typically ship with 3 to 4 scenarios.
Yes. The HeartSine trainer pads are designed for repeated classroom use, and the cable rewind mechanism is specifically engineered to make pad reuse efficient. The pads themselves last across many class cycles. The adhesive backing on the pads wears out faster than the pad electrode itself, so the trainer ships with 5 pairs of replacement adhesives in the standard package. When the adhesive no longer holds the pad to the manikin reliably, replace just the adhesive backing rather than the entire pad.
