The one trade-off worth knowing

The 450P is semi-automatic only. There is currently no HeartSine model that combines fully automatic shock delivery with CPR feedback, so you are choosing between those two features, not stacking them.

How CPR Rate Advisor actually works on the 450P

The 450P measures compression rate through the defibrillation electrodes themselves. There is no separate accelerometer or puck to place on the chest.

It measures rate, not depth. Some retailers describe it as a depth-and-rate system; HeartSine's own documentation consistently describes rate only, and that is the claim we stand behind.

Feedback arrives as short voice prompts paired with a green, amber and red LED display, so it stays usable in a noisy room where audio alone is hard to follow.

Adult patients only

CPR Rate Advisor is restricted to adult patients and disables automatically when a Pediatric-Pak is connected.

If you ever use an adult Pad-Pak on a child in a genuine emergency, ignore the rate prompts. Pediatric compression technique is different.

The Pad-Pak: one cartridge instead of two schedules

Most AED brands make you track two separate expiration dates, one for pads and one for the battery. HeartSine combines both into a single Pad-Pak cartridge.

One part, one expiration date, one replacement every four years. For a program managing several devices, that halves the number of dates you are tracking.

What is the difference between the HeartSine 350P and 360P?

Yes. Every samaritan PAD holds full FDA premarket approval, the agency's strictest device review pathway.
