The Intellisense CPR Feedback sensor monitors three things during chest compressions: rate, depth, and chest recoil, meaning how fully the chest returns to its resting position between compressions. When compressions are too shallow or not fully releasing, the G5 issues a corrective prompt to press harder and fully release. When compressions are too deep, it prompts the rescuer to press softer. This guidance is delivered through both voice and text prompts and is consistent with current AHA and ERC resuscitation guidelines.
Because the feedback is real-time rather than a post-rescue report, it corrects technique while CPR is actually happening, which is when it matters. The sensor works whether the rescuer is a trained professional having an off moment under stress or a bystander with no CPR background at all.
