Manufacturer
Cardiac Science (now a ZOLL Medical Corporation brand)
Model
Powerheart AED G3 Simulator with 3-Lead Terminals
SKU
9021-003 (primary; alt 9021-001)
Device Type
Hardware simulator accessory that connects to a clinical Powerheart G3 or G3 Pro AED
Compatibility
Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 AED + Powerheart G3 Pro AED ONLY. Not compatible with G3 Plus, FirstSave, FirstSave G3, or Powerheart G5.
Function
Generates simulated ECG waveforms that the connected clinical AED analyzes and responds to as if attached to a real patient
Waveform Library
Eight (8) named waveforms: VF, VT (fast and slow wide QRS), Normal Sinus Rhythm, Artifact, Asystole, SVT (slow and fast)
3-Lead Capability
Built-in 3-Lead ECG simulator with 3-Lead terminals; demonstrates ECG monitoring when paired with the Powerheart G3 Pro
"Convert" Feature
Allows a subsequent heart rhythm to display after a simulated shock is delivered (realistic post-shock rhythm progression)
Instructor Control
Manual selection of waveform, shock event timing, and post-shock rhythm conversion
Shock Delivery
The clinical AED does NOT deliver actual shock energy to the simulator (no chest impedance); the AED responds with the audio/visual shock-delivery sequence but no current flows
Permitted Use
Training purposes only. NOT intended for AED testing, calibration, or device verification (use authorized biomedical service tools for those purposes)
Power
Verify in operator's documentation; the simulator typically draws power from the connected clinical AED or has internal power for the rhythm generation circuitry
Target Audience
ALS training, paramedic recruit programs, hospital code teams, biomedical demonstration, advanced rescuer training, organizations with existing G3/G3 Pro fleets
Not Recommended For
Lay-responder Heartsaver classes (use standalone trainer instead), AED testing/calibration (use authorized biomed service tools)
Warranty
Limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship; contact Total AEDs at (855) 286-6384 for current warranty terms before purchase
FDA Status
Not applicable. Training accessory, not a regulated medical defibrillator. The clinical AED it connects to remains FDA-cleared.
Prescription Required
No (training accessory only)
